i have suddenly decided to blog. its been some time cos i've ben tired and lethargic from all the training and mugging. and im also tired today but i feel like blogging. i wanna talk abt training but i shall not talk much abt it except that i need to convert my str in gym to water. im not being thick skinned but i can do the heaviest weights in gym compared to any kayaker, but im kinda like, the fucking slowest in water. i need to translate that power in gym to strength and speed in water. maybe its cos im not used to my boat yet but its alr January i dun have much more time to get used to it. and one thing i'm not happy about is the girls always going down for water first.
firstly, they try ot come up on time but they don't always do. secondly the shifting and moving of everyone takes up time. so it eats into our water time.
secondly we always do circuits first. we burn our energy before we even go down into water, which is integral to training. then when we go down for water, we can't push as hard. which is dumb cos water wont be as effective. after doing 300-400 over push ups, lots of pullups, dips, squats, crunches,leg raises, flutter kicks, close-hand dips, for one whole bloody hour, how much energy do you have left to use in water?
the system needs to be revised. its unfair to the boys team. no matter how much we suck.
